La bibliothèque Abbé-Grégoire, inaugurée le 21 septembre 1997, se situe en centre-ville de Blois à côté de la Halle aux grains et de la préfecture. La bibliothèque universitaire, qui partage le même bâtiment, se trouve au 2e étage et est accessible par l'escalier principal ou les ascenseurs.

La médiathèque Maurice-Genevoix est située dans les quartiers nord de Blois.
En juin 2012 elle a réouvert au public après un important chantier d'agrandissement et de modernisation.

Depuis janvier 2016 la médiathèque Rose-Valland a rejoint le reseau des bibliothèques d'Agglopolys. Une convention a été établie avec le conseil départemental qui continue à contribuer à son fonctionnement.
